The head lad in Pieta House was talking at this event last night from what I saw on Twitter. If his message gets through to some people then it’s worthwhile. It’s just frustrating to see the likes of Niall and Joe ride on the coat-tails of this as advocates of it when we all know they’re cunts of the highest order.
And yes, yer man should take the fucking bag off his head too.
Id say bressie has made a living out of being a bit down in the dumps. If he charges schools for his “insight” then I have little time for him. Would he refuse to share his apparently crucial experience with kids who couldn’t afford it.
My worry is that every adolescent or twenty something who feels a bit low after a normal life event or a few nights on the beer decide they have a bona fide mental illness, and stare into the abyss til it stares back at them.
Did none of the cunts at Joe.ie see that somebody wearing a plastic bag over their head at a suicide prevention event may send out somewhat of a contradictory message?
Will their next event feature somebody with a rope around their neck?
I saw another article from a columnist / blogger type on the Indo website yesterday saying that constantly hearing/reading stories from Bressie and the likes who’ve overcome their apparent mental health issues only serves to make her feel worse about her own struggles. I’m telling you, chaps. The backlash is coming but it’ll be done with relative subtlety.
We need someone to publish my research on how Bressie’s mental health issues grew in direct proportion to the amount of money to be made from the niche.
I hope davy Glennon gets the recognition he deserves. Just days after his amazing revelation pj ward revealed how he was let down by not one but three county boards, and today darren frehill has an incredible tale of a inter county sub who felt kinda bad after he bet against his own team. Let the hurt out guys, let the healing in.
Get the Pulitzer ready. The picture paints the metaphorical thousand words here, the football turned upside down, just like these warriors lives have been turned upside down by gambling. God bless the GPA.

Won’t be there myself (although a bad weekend on the sporting front this weekend could lead me to suffer anxiety and/or mild depression so I may yet require salvation from the Church of Bressie). However I’ll get the full lowdown from one of the organising committee and report back…
