While Peterson may well have jumped the shark and become a huckster but he is or at least was a practising clinical psychologist and a professor of psychology as opposed to a lad just winging it.

I donât think that is really true - Peterson has a couple of decades where he was held in high regard in his field and wasnât really in the public consciousness up until around a decade ago rather than always being a snake - since then he has obviously revelled in his new found notoriety and gone down that path for whatever reasons.
They are two men who have come at their grifts from very different avenues and very different levels of expertise.

Peterson was clearly a snake from his first emergence. Was he not a snake before then because we didnât know about him or was he merely a snake in the long grass?

Again I donât think that is entirely true and is poorly conceived. He is an obviously intelligent man with who spent 20+ years building a very good career for himself while not craving the limelight or quick buck.
Then there appeared to be a perfect storm toward the end of the last decade of the gender pronoun debate which he got a platform, he had some health issues and what appears to be a malignant daughter in the background who saw how the right wing disenfranchised male could be milked for all it was worth and they went from there.
I thought he was a cunt and a snake from whenever I first became aware of him, so it has proved.
And thatâs all that really matters
