Unreal, give it to the GAA they deserve it for what they bring to the smallies all over the country

Carrigaline would be a big sized club, would they? Would they have a few thousand members or would that be way over exaggerating it? Lot of houses gone up around there over the last 15/20 years.

That’s a fair generous commitment, with most clubs taking a hit financially over the last year they’ll be the envy of most surrounding clubs!

Big soccer town… They’ve upped it at underage GAA but at nothing for years previously… Has the population now to sustain both sports.

Great news carkie. Seems like there is a lot of people pulling in the right direction out your way

The soccer club has never set the world alight despite huge membership, they had a fine team in my age group (the second best in Cork :grinning:) with a few players who had cross channel interest and Garret Cronin carving out a career for himself in footie.
The GAA club has always underachieved, only Nicholas Murphy has made a name for himself out of there really.

Fairly big club now, especially under age, biggest town in Cork they say, definitely the fastest growing

Yes GAA is extremely strong here, decent working class

The soccer team has some astro set up there, really impressive. Will be big players come out of there.
