Mayo didn’t win Sam but they have beaten the All Blacks. That will mean mixed feelings for New Zealand born Mayo manager James Horan.
Big result. First time we’ve had a proper buzz around the rugby team since 2018. I doubted him but Coach Farrell has us playing some tremendous rugby recently. The home displays against England, Japan and NZ have been immense.
3 wins in the last 5 years against NZ after failing to beat them for over 100 years. This crop of NZ players aren’t in the same league as their predecessors. Similar to Kilkenny in the hurling these days.
