November Rugby Internationals (On the sesh with the Goys)

There’s definitely a meme in that

Who or what is this about?

It just proves how shit rubby is to watch.

@Kyle

Christ… that legislation is surely due an update. 100 years old.

Here are five reasons why you might not want to change 100-year-old legislation:

  1. Historical and Cultural Significance:
The legislation may reflect foundational principles or values that have historical importance and continue to shape societal norms. Changing it could risk undermining those long-standing traditions or cultural heritage.

  2. Proven Effectiveness:
If the law has successfully served its purpose over a century without significant issues, it might indicate that it is robust and well-crafted, making changes unnecessary or potentially disruptive.

  3. Unintended Consequences:
Altering long-standing laws can create unforeseen legal or societal ripple effects, particularly if the legislation interacts with other laws or systems. These consequences might destabilize established practices.

  4. Public Trust and Stability:
People may trust and feel secure with familiar laws. Drastic changes might erode confidence in legal systems, especially if the legislation in question is perceived as foundational or fair.

  5. Cost and Complexity of Change:
Revising or repealing old laws often involves extensive legal review, public consultation, and implementation efforts, which could be time-consuming and expensive, with uncertain benefits compared to the costs.

Thanks.

That was more interesting than the rubby last night.

None of the Irish back 3 have a real X factor a lá will Jordan or that nippy South African winger with the scrum cap. Most of lowes tries are from the work of others. Hansen the same.
Nash looks to have a bit of pace. Stock Dale has that bit of unpredictability and pace

Oireland lack top level pace and power. Have to try and compensate with incredible levels of accuracy which they’ve had at times under Schmidt and creativity which Faz has brought in. Lineout has gone to shit under POC which kyboshes half of the set moves before they ever get off the ground. Need to get a few South sea islanders into the D4 schools

I’d agree with the most of that. Nash is grand all round he’s just not a top class international winger. Lowe and Hansen have points of difference that Nash just doesn’t. Good reasoning on fitting in Osbourne, I’d rather leave out Keenan than henshaw. Wing is a position that players tend to come through at a younger age but there doesn’t seem to be many young lads tearing it up in Ireland.

What exactly point of difference does Lowe have Nash hasn’t?

Offloading, kicking, generally more creative in his running lines. Stronger ball carrier.

:grinning:

Maybe two years ago.

He was awful last night.

Offers nothing in attack and a total liability in defence.

I knew I shouldn’t have written that

Very good at making ground in tight spaces, good passer, great at working infield and basically playing as another centre, massive kick. Nash doesn’t really have any of that, he’s a good traditional winger, he’s much faster but doesn’t really have top end pace.

Nash for his first campaign was very good in the six nations.

Very good in South Africa too.

Lowe also pulls a caravan. I left that out

Yes, I’ve said he was good.

He’s better than Lowe.
