Npower Championship 2012/13

Zola’s Watford are also flying right now, I’d be very surprised if the Udinese reserves were not in the EPL next year.

championship is very interesting this year…cardiff should get an automatic promotion spot but after that its wide open…2 of the better squads like bolton and blackburn seem to be going through the motions but are still only a few wins off a play-off place…as bad as wolves have been they too are only 9 points from a play off spot…surely at least one of them will get their act together in New Year and go on a run all the way back to the premiership… :strokechin:

is it Udinese reserves he´s got?..is there not a load of them at Granada in Spain too?..or was that only for last season?..Udinese must have some amount of players on their book…

Granada are another club owned by the Pozzo’s. Udinese are the top of the food chain though and the other clubs are just there to develop the players that are not good enough for the Udinese side at present. It was a great idea for the Pozzo’s to acquire a small Championship club, they can go over there and make a name for themselves and the EPL clubs will be writing out blank cheques to Udinese for their reserves. Win win.

do you see Udinesse winning Serie A in next few years?..had a great season last year but petered out a bit near the end if memory serves…

No. Too small a club.

Serie A is the best league in Europe to be fair.

What would the quality be like outside the top 6 or 7. I’d always watch the derbies or if inter or juve were playing roma or lazio but rarely watch Catania and Genoa and the likes of them

That Czech lad from Udinese showed a fantastic turn of pace to score Watford’s 3rd today. He seems far too good to be playing in the Championship.

Chris Wood looks like he will be an excellent signing for Leicester. He was bang on form for Milwall before joining and has picked up where he left off, 5 in 2 league games for Leicester after 11 goals in 19 for Milwall

Big Mick’s Tractor Boys shut out league leaders Cardiff at their own ground today. Elsewhere the Udinese reserves beat Middlesbrough 2-1 at The Riverside to keep their impressive recent form up.

This was a good shout from Puke.

Larry Grayson sacked by us today. 5 points from 39 recently which is relegation form but I really toight Dean Hoyle would stand by him. Fairly shocked, tbh. He bought well but the players basically did the business for about a month before deciding to not bother anymore.

Zola’s Watford 2-0 up at HT. Vydra is on fire for the Udinese Reserves.

Forest made it 4 wins on the trot tonight against a filthy and quite ugly Ipswich side. Mick McCarthy has really let himself and his loved ones down.

McLeish record with Forest after his 7 game tenure was W1, D1, L5, Pts 4:mad:
King Billy has been in charge for 5 games and record is W4, D1, L0 Pts 13:pint:

The playoff race looked done and dusted a month ago but is hotting up now with Boro, Lecister and Brighton all flailing a bit whilst Forest have caught fire and Bolton and even Leeds have been hitting form at the right time. Cardiff despite only picking up a point from their last 2 games should still comfortably be crowned champions with the 2nd automatic spot likely to go right down to the wire between Watford,Palace and Hull.

At the other end Dean Saunders picked up his 1st win with Wolves tonight(Forest play them on Saturday) Sean O Driscolls is working his magic at Bristol City and I predict they will survive with relegation altogether more likely for Barnsley, Sheffield Wednesay and Ipswich

10 games or so to go yet Laz. I wouldn’t go making predictions when it comes to this division. I’d have put my house on us Terriers going down a few weeks ago but we’ve managed to turn it round with 6 from 9 and we’re in a good spot despite having the worst goal difference in the division. We’re -24 or something mad like that yet 6 points from danger. Crazy fucking league.

Saw the Championship goals on Sky Sports News this morning. Shocking cheating by Lansbury and Reid to get two of Big Mick’s men sent off and, even at that, it took a scruffy late deflection to defeat 9-man Ipswich. The victory over Leicester on Saturday was a very important one though and it shows how far Ipswich have come since the start of Big Mick’s reign - they lost by six at Leicester earlier in the season.

Middlesboro’ will probably fall away as they have Tony Mowbray managing them. How does he manage to instil an ability to crumble at the merest hint of pressure into his teams? 1-0 up late on at Huddersfield before losing 2-1, with one of the concessions an awful goalkeeping error.

Kevin Phillips got the jammiest hat-trick imaginable for Crystal Palace in a promotion clash against Hull - a poorly struck penalty that the keeper got hands to, a completely mishit shot from a cut back that hit his standing leg and squirted into the far corner and a huge looping deflection over the keeper for the last one. Meyler got a late consolation for Hull in their 4-2 loss.

Big Mick never criticises referees, pal.

Young managers like Alex Ferguson could learn a lot from him.
