Judge apologises for 'thick Tyrone people' jibe

Sidney, do you remember the debates that take place after Dublin games intently?
so apart from conveniently erasing it from my memory, I didnt actually deny it happened, nor did I question its existence. Youâre some fruitloop all the same.
In any case, my recollection of all that sledging was only from the minor game. I was not, until now, aware of any sledging that occurred during the senior game. A google search was no help, as every reference was only to the minor game.
Apologies for not having the memory to remember every Tyrone indiscretion, but there are so many of them at this stage that its nearly a case of too many to remember so I pretty much blank out all the noise on them and dont pay much attention.
You said you couldnât remember it happening despite watching the game. It did happen during the coverage you watch and you conveniently decided to erase it from your memory. That is questioning its existence.
And this wasnât a Tyrone indiscretion, it was something blown out of context due to the involvement of two Ulster sides.
Given that I barely bother watching Dublin games at all these days, you can imagine how intent I am on hearing the debates about them.
A wonderful existential debate taking place here. If a debate on sledging takes place in a studio, and @Gman isnât there to witness it or remember it weeks later, does it in fact take place?
But theyâre dreadfully important, they are a NATIONAL TOPIC donât you?
The education system out of whatever bog in Laois you hail from must be deplorable.

so if you dont remember something, that means it didnt happen? No wonder you are so unhappy over this whole diving issue.
No thatâs what Iâm insinuating you were getting at, I find it hard to believe you didnât remember that when it ended up being the main talking point about that match. I find it very odd and selective that you would remember watching the game but not the main issue highlighted in said game.
It is probably due to the fact that it didnât suit the argument you were trying to put forward that there isnât biased reporting. Rory Gallagher was asked about it in his interview after. It was typical of the Southern media agenda at play which you deny exists.
fair enough, I dont remember it. I do remember lots of talk about the minor incident. I listened to OTB, Matt Cooper had Canavan and McHugh on, and other places talking about the minor incident. I do remember Sean Cavanagh bitching in the paper about sledging and how it effects weaker players. Any discussion about sledging, which went over board IMO which I also stated here, I thought was all based on the minor game incident. Iâm glad you proved me wrong, without actually backing it up with anything. I still have not seen anything from searches to say something happened in that game or that the discussions were about that game.
You should remember it if you watched the game. Cavanagh was in the papers the day after the game talking on sledging as a result of the senior match. The minor incident didnât come to light until later on that week. Rory Gallagher was asked about it in his post match interview.
What happened was another example of things being blown out of proportion because two Ulster teams were involved, something you deny exist with regards the Southern media.
something you deny exist with regards the Southern media.
and round and round we go!
well played mate, well played.
Do any of the Northern Papers or media report on any of the incidents?
Meanwhile, former Tyrone player Ryan McMenamin, a three-time All-Ireland winner under Harte in 2003, 2005 and 2008, feels that as a result of some of the examples of gamesmanship last Saturday, referees will need to be more convinced of foul play before awarding frees in the upcoming semi-final showdown.
âThey will come down hard now on diving,â McMenamin said.
The belfast Telegraph no lessâŚ
And thereâs Ricey now, like clockwork theyâre being rolled out
Iâve read that a few times, pal, Iâm not sure exactly what the ex Tyrone player is saying⌠can you break it down real simple like for us free staters??
Lots of talk in Tyrone that their supporters should boycott the semi-final so as not to give money to the GAA, however other people are saying that there will be a turnout of support like never before, in which case the GAA will benefit financially.
Tyrone people are really confused about all this.

The combination of the anger at McCannâs banning and all the grease from Ulster fries clogging up their arteries could prove to be very, very dangerous for a lot of Tyrone supporters.
