It was Armagh last year. They ended up boycotting the media due to the malicious reporting on them. The problem is when a Northern county is succesful, it gets up the backs of the Southern media.
As Harte said, boxing lads in the back of the head was once an issue, but he didnât remember much of a witch hunt against the main perpetrators of that.

How much praise Armagh got in their AI win. The pundits and media couldnt heap enough praise on Fermanagh last week when they played Dublin. Youâve an awful persecution complex. Its funny how every media outlet from Tyrone in the aftermath of this incident can not go a minute without mentioning some other player or some other team or some other incident. They are unable to view this and talk about this in isolation, constantly trying to deflect and not accept what actually happen.

The problem is that the vast majority of people from Northern Ireland are scumbags
They didnât expect us to hang around, for years Tyrone were getting the patronising pats on the back in the 90s including being assaulted off the pitch against Meath. We came back in 00s and when we got there we had no intention of going away and we havenât gone away you know. That irks people, weâre here to stay. Tyrone will be adding to the their trophy count in the years to come, in spite of the scurrilous reporting that surrounds us.
Your problem is you feel inferior to us, you feel that if it came to a battle that we are smarter, more resilient and more resourceful and you donât like having to deal with people on a higher level than you. I can sense the inferiority complex with an awful lot of freestaters in my dealings with them.
Tyrone people have a deep seated inferiority complex towards âFree State bastardsâ and this is really coming to the fore now.
