Iâm really, really not that accurate.
Kinda.
Yeah. You wouldnât.
But a lot of the 13/14000 season ticket holders in the RDS wouldnât pay 20 quid to KK v Tipp in an AI final. That doesnât mean 20 quid wouldnât be good value. Anyways the point is in relation to the relative ticket prices
That is such a load of bollocks Laz (no disrespect mate or anything). If Daly left now, his time at Dublin would be considered a success.
A league title? An All Ireland semi? All Stars? When was the last time any of us spoke about Dublin hurling in those terms?
True but itâs not as if Daly unearthed these star players out of nowhere. These lads were beating the likes of Kilkenny up a stick for years now from Minor and U21. They had no fear at all of any team - something Dublin hurlers never had before. Obviously you needed a good manager to gel these together for adult level, which was beginning to happen before Daly got there but to be fair he has got them playing a great brand of hurling. Kilkenny v Dublin is the first mouthwatering clash of the year for me.
Apart from Fennelly and Rice it looks like theyâll have everyone else fit anyway. Those 2 are a huge loss though, especially with Fennellyâs physicality. Shefflin should make it and I think if he does they should leave Richie Power on the frees as it seems to bring more out of him in games.
Limerick v Tip was the first âmouthwatering clash of the yearâ.
Will Offaly/Galway be on the TV lads?

gearing towards this game since start of the yearâŠthey see it as now or never to beat kilkennyâŠand i think theyâll beat kilkennyâŠfennelly will be a huge loss in this type of gameâŠ
On RTE 2 Turenne, curtain raiser to the Clare game!
I assumed as much but for some reason it was listed as 4 p.m. in one of the papers, was wondering what was going on. Should be a good one, that Galway teams looks a bit shit.
Have to admit i think their backs(full back line in particular) are there for the taking!
Offaly will have to hold Canning(depending on which Joe shows up) and break even midfield but if they achieve that they will go close!
Galway should beat the Offaly team that played Wexford handy. They were physically stronger than Wexford but I doubt theyâll handle Galwayâs power too comfortably. The biggest problem that day was their ability to work the ball through midfield and deliver sharp, accurate passes to their admittedly quite skillful forwards. Too direct for what theyâve got.
Galway have a very very strong hf line, should win plenty enough primary possession to beat Offaly
Wonderfully insightful article from Lar in the independent today.
Youâd wonder how he gets the time for the writing heâs so busy etc
If Galways full backline hold up then I would expect them to see off Offaly and the three point handicap comfortably enough. Thought Offaly looked rather clueless in terms of their use of possession against Wexford
I have a feeling a Waterford player will burst Davy Fitzgerald in a tussle for possession near the sideline later. Iâm hoping for a good fight in that game actually.
