They needed to catch Davy 5 mins before, heā€™d had a chance to calm down by the time they got to him.
You could see him seething away under the surface
Ya thought he was going to cut loose once or twice.
Clare threw it away. Had plenty chances, lack of experience got to them. Conlon was outstanding, McGrath good too. Waterford still not great, could get badly beaten later in the year.

Darach Honan got the yips.

Donā€™t really agree with this. Thought Conlon was outstanding in the first half, faded after that and coughed up the ball on a couple of occasions at critical times near the end. Also thought young Daniels was superb for Waterford and got the better of the battle with McGrath (albeit he scored a few points). The goal chance at the end came from an overlap after Michael Walsh very uncharacteristically let a basic ball go right through him.

I still maintain that shot at the end hit the keeper on the helmet

Not sure but, either way, at least he stood up to it rather than turning his arse on it like some other goalies do.

Name names

The guy he took over from for one.

Two very average teams. Not going to be a good year for Munster hurling. Good to see Waterford go through though as they have more talent to come back into their team. Still there was very little pattern to their play, donā€™t look well coached.

Waterford better pray for a Cork win in the other semi. TIpp would take them by 10+

Its Tippā€™s Munster to lose alright, but I canā€™t see anyone other then KK at this stage for the AI. Galwayā€™s backs didnā€™t look spectacular today either.

Cork could beat tipp

Thought Daniels was pretty much MOTM.

Not with only one ballwinner we wonā€™t.

Moulmphy was motm? limerick had 1 18yo ball winner and should have beaten them

I thought Molumphy was excellent too.

True enough I guess. Weā€™ll have to see really, lot of weaknesses in that Cork team, and the half-forward line is only the start. Full-forward line is shite, full-back line was destroyed by Kilkenny, midfield looks all wrong etc.

As I said, bad year for Munster hurling.

Tipp will be much improved against Cork, will have bonner Maher back and a few more changes too. They wonā€™t run away with it but they will beat cork.

Still looking at Dublin-Tipp/Cork-KK AI semi-finals at this stage. And thatā€™s placing confidence in Cork that they havenā€™t really earned.

I saw 2 minutes of todays game but Limerick are easily light years ahead of both of these and would have nothing to fear further down the road.

Cork or Tipp will wipe the floor with Waterford.

Bar Hannify and Dooley Offaly were dire. It was crucial they got a good start in the 2nd half but they didnā€™t and to borrow NBA parlance the vast majority of the half was played out in garbage time.
Galway are ticking the boxes nicely as the year develops. Div 1a League status retained, Leinster Final, Youth blooded, over reliance on Joe checked. Iā€™d bring Flannery in for Skehill the next day, he was responsible for 2 of the goals last Sunday and his capacity for howlers is getting worse if anything. Collins will return in place of Cooney jr and I wouldnā€™t be surprised to see young Johnny Glynn come in for Niall Burke whose been finding the going tough lately.

If the likes of Donnellan and Tannion in particular can maintain their current level of form we can be competitive against Kilkenny and if Joe turns it on, who knows what might happenā€¦
