Clare have a nice under 20s team on paper but I would be surprised if they are good enough to beat Cork in Cork Wednesday night. Cork fairly hockeyed them in the Munster minor final 2 years ago.

Diarmuid Ryan, Gary Cooney and Aidan McCarthy all likley to start in the forwards and all played senior championship this summer. Rodgers at full forward is very talented and Rian Considine is a nice hurler too. Strong forward line and their best hope is for this to be a shootout.

Keith White, minor captain two years ago and Bradley Higgins are both unavailable. Both would have probably started in defence.
