Official All Ireland Minor and U20 Hurling & Football Thread (Part 1)

Kk beat Derry by about 50 points in 2017 IIRC.

52

Even Galway were the last outside Munster in 2011. Since then the Munster team has generally disposed of the non Munster teams with ease in the All Ireland series, after getting well challenged in Munster

Score lads?

Wexford 85/1 in running here. I put a euro on them.

Tipp have switched off in last 10 minutes

4-06 to 1-07

4-06 to 1-07 to Tipp.

Tipp? Much left?

Half time

Second half just throwing in.

Tipp have the wind in this half. They’ll win by whatever they feel like.

This wasn’t considered a strong Wexford side.

This age group actually contains a few dual players chose to link up with the football team instead. The ones coming behind this one are more hurling focused, as hurling is popular again. Hurray.

We benefited from the bye to the semi-final by virtue of getting to the Leinster U21 Final last season and then Kilkenny were drawn on Galway’s side, while Offaly shocked Dublin on our side. So we only had to beat Offaly to get to a provincial final.

We delivered a spirited display in losing to Kilkenny but you could see we were limited and they weren’t great yesterday either.

We’ve been fairly naive in our set up here and some lads are struggling to cope with the standard. A few scores can be directly traced back to basic enough mistakes by our lads.

I hope the margin doesn’t get too significant in the second half.

I wonder at what stage the Wexford violence will break out today?

Wexford are a rabble.

Jake Morris hits some terrible wides

McAllister should blow this up. That goal was embarrassing.
