Official All Ireland Minor and U20 Hurling & Football Thread (Part 1)

Ollie Canning?

Could be wrong but don’t think he’s been involved with coaching, not for any Galway underage teams anyway.

I thought they looked good against Laois. An advantage these lads seem to have is they have been training until September at minor most years and so have had more time to get used to systems and structures than counties who may have been exiting the minor championship in July. Tomorrow will give a much better idea of where they are at.

In these dark times, it’s reassuring to see Jeffrey Lynskey still in charge of Galway underage teams.

The pitch is in scutter

Nice bite to this.

Kilkenny do the simple things well. No fancy or unnecessary shit.

This is good agricultural hurling.

Flannery off injured. He was never right carrying a knock. McDonagh on.

There’s a lovely naivety and innocence to this.

That’s a plus in any case

Flannery is very good but patently wasn’t fit coming into this with his hamstring. McDonagh is a clever player alright. Albeit still smallish yet.

Donal O’Shea has a lovely way of hitting frees.

It must be the Tipp blood.

Fleming is a great bit of stuff.

He has shown up well here, pleased for him after the cheap belt he took against Laois. Mcdonagh is a lad you would enjoy watching.

Galway-Kilkenny looks a higher standard than the first half of Wexford-Dublin. Do the beaten provincial semi-finalists automatically go into an All-Ireland semi-Final this year?

Eamonn’s son?

Yes.

Kilkenny have resorted to some filth here now.

These cunts have no discipline. We are lucky no one has been killed.

He reminds me a bit of Seamus Flanagan in style.
