Theyâd have won a couple during that period if Clifford and Oâ Shea had been eligible obviously. 2017 was the last proper U21 championship and their much vaunted team was caught on the hop by Galway in the semi-finals.

If Mark OâConnor hung around theyâd have won all round them.

The last minor was 2018 wasnât it and that would have been U17 so I suppose they could still bring through a few of that team. Although they appeared to struggle over the line compared to the previous groups. They got a few from 2014 and then the two superstars Clifford and Oâ Shea. Definitely thought thereâd be more after the hype.

To be fair the current team is built around those minor teams from 2014-2017.
Shane Ryan, OâBeaglaoich, Jason Foley, Tom Sull, Gavin White, Diarmuid OâConnor, Sean OâShea, Clifford, Micheal Byrnes, Killian Spillane all backboning the senior team that probably wins the All Ireland this year.
Dara Moynihan, David Shaw, Mike Breen and Graham OâSullivan all there or thereabouts too

Derry look like they might be about to do this, first All-Ireland for Ulster at any grade since 2015 if they hang on.
Derry see it out after doing their best to throw it away. Great boost for Derry and for Ulster, the dark days may be coming to an end.
Some drama the last few minutes there. Howler from Derry keeper and corner back lead to injury time Kerry goal soccered into an empty net from 20 yards out to put Kerry 2 up. Derry then get a penalty for a foot block straight from the kick out to put them back 1 up. Kerry still have time to miss a late free to draw the game.

Clare under 20s unchanged from last week. Missing Rodgers, Cian Galvin and Meehan makes this a very big ask for them. They would be three of the five key hurlers on the panel and all got run outs for the seniors in the league.
Still think it is a competitive team and should give Limerick a game but I think without those three lads we lack the firepower needed to get a result.
