Official All Ireland Minor and U20 Hurling & Football Thread (Part 1)

Tyrone tweeted last night that that was where it was on.

Would have thought it the obvious venue, in fairness.

I donā€™t think so actually. We possibly hosted 1 or 2 at the turn of the century involving Tyrone and Mayo/Limerick and quite possibly another involving Galway and Cavan. Itā€™s a great location for all comers, ample parking and a quick entrance and exit. The pitch is very soft with a dead type of surface even in Summer. Itā€™s as good a venue as youā€™ll get being more or less equidistant for both sides.

Lacking the big game feel of Tyers and Fleury.

Anyone remember when Dr Cullen Park had the wire nets and the ball would fly back out of them?

This lassie is very dull. Iā€™d bet sheā€™s a schoolteacher.

Up until now I didnā€™t know it had floodlights. One for the Things I Learned Today thread.

Camera peering in someoneā€™s window there for some reason.

Netwatch did then a deal on the floodlights. Theyā€™d have a load of them.

Thatā€™s a grand little sliothar stand behind the goals.

They had them in the Gaelic Grounds last Wednesday evening also. Maybe itā€™s an Oā€™Neillā€™s sponsorship initiative?

Competitive enough game but not the best of standards so far.

Wexford could take a decade to eradicate this pointless passing from their set ups

This Wexford side looked decidedly average when I saw them a few weeks bsck

Check out the hurling podcast, they had some fella from Laois today on the latest one discussing just that. And of course, many other thingsā€¦

Steven Miller I believe

Thatā€™s the one.

Ref looks like kind of lad who doesnā€™t want players to talk to him.

One of the Oā€™ Connor sisters from Rathnure is it?

Whatā€™s the score?
