Official All Ireland Minor and U20 Hurling & Football Thread (Part 1)

Screeney, he’s a hardy bit of stuff too. A fuckin sorcerer

Hopefully he still likes hurling after he starts secondary school.

Christ it was something else, I can’t ever remember seeing a hurly been bounced off a fellas head before. Seen loads thrown but never such a perfect contact .
Wonderful cuntishness

Shane Lowry had an Offaly hat ready to go playing 18 he told radio one today when he got word of the goal

Screeney the second best minor I saw all year after Aaron Niland.

Is Screeney still underage next year? Looks fierce young albeit hardy.

Birr must be struggling. No one on the team.

Rynaghs nearly as bad.

No senior title since 2008. Didn’t realise it had been so long.

Think they were even relegated in that time too

The fact that the aforementioned Brian Mullins is still their senior goalie doesn’t say much for their underage.
Without any huge knowledge of what goes on down there, their underage production line is appalling, considering size of town, tradition, only one code, etc. Kilcormac and Ballinamere Durrow keeping the county afloat.
That loss today was some sickener.

Is Ballinamere \Durrow Michael Duignan’s club now ?

How is Tullamore doing in hurling and football?

The sons hurl with Balliamere/Durrow. Tullamore won the county senior football last year and favourites again this year. Tullamore hurlers lost the senior b final last year and should make amends this year. only a matter of time before kicormac/killoughey dominate the hurling again

Yes. He was their chairman. They’ve a small enough bit of a parish and have done great work. Up senior in both codes.
Tullamore getting very strong at football. Mightn’t win this year due to injuries but will win a good few in next decade as underage extremely strong. Lost feile final yesterday to Westport.
Unfortunately, this has been to the detriment of hurling as football will always be king. Tullamore won a county senior some time ago when the footballers were at a lowish ebb.

I missed the end of the minor game but all the talk was offaly were robbed by the ref? Was it the free out not given at the end? Hard to tell from the highlights.

Some fucking tennis serve of a finish for the goal

That Adam Scrawny looks unrale

Is there not a rule that any professional foul inside the 22 that impacts a clear goal scoring chance is a penalty… Or did they just scrap it after the controversy last season

No I think it’s still in place but I’m not certain.
