Woolie was pondering that during the week on his podcast. He asked was Galway the only true 50/50 county in terms of football/hurling. Cork obviously not. Are Offaly?
Felt a bit for the few Mayo fans straddling the border here.
The Cunt, and he living in one
I was surprised he didn’t mention Laois unless he thinks football is number wan.
He was being modest no doubt, he’d be like that
Not really much of a dual county when most of the hurling clubs don’t play football and vice versa
Dublin is a proper dual county. Nearly all the clubs are dual leading to factions, in fighting, bitterness and suspicion. All the things that make the GAA great.
You did in your hole, stop telling porkies. You were laughing your arse off at them.
Many do actually, they just pay lip service. However the question was, is the county of Galway split football/hurling. And both counties are similar in that element. You could draw line through Laois where both exist stronger/weaker.
Nice to see the traditional strongholds of the game to the fore
Poor Joe Quigley, he’ll have to wait a few years before a spot comes available in Crokes.
Rory Burke is a serious operator, from very good hurling stock on both sides. Aaron Niland will be lighting it up for many years to come, all going well.
Im told he isn’t even playing club football this year, Connacht rugby have signed him up for their u20 academy so he is not allowed play anything else. They have a lovely little line going there of ruining good GAA players before casting them aside and selecting Leinster cast-offs and 3rd rate Australians.
Wonder where he went to school? Not much rugby out Spiddal direction. Actually some quick Googling shows he played underage rugby for Corinthians alright.
Don’t think he was even a starter for the minors at the beginning of their campaign but he was sensational in their last three games against Dublin, Derry and Mayo.
Yeah they finally gave in to the idea of a round robin at u20 level. Young fellas need to be playing loads of games
