Tighter than I anticipated. Ultan is a fine footballer. Downey on as a sub, he’s midfield for the hurlers. Another year minor. Serious underage athlete too

That seemed like a missed opportunity. The 3 up at the death was a shame but they’re youngsters.

Good standard - cork’s half backline well in top and they are very classy up front. Deane pulling the strings from 11. Clare working hard and forcing turnovers and playing direct ball inside to Murphy and Rodgers who are dangerous
2-8 to 1-10 at half time. Clare finished the half strong but on the balance of play cork will be disappointed to be behind. They have the breeze in the second half.
