Official All Ireland Minor and U20 Hurling & Football Thread (Part 2)

You’ll always get the likes of Chelsea and Tipp in any sport that want to play such negative tactics.

No surprise the two counties most committed to the dour sweeper system at senior level seeing this negativity manifest itself at underage. It’s up to Clare, Cork and Limerick to promote swashbuckling Munster hurling

We’ll file this away under ‘Na fianna are alright Jack”

I can’t think of any cork player who executes a legitimate handpass. Most other counties have a couple. Not many though.

Anyone have an insight into Laois or Offaly U20 hurling teams?

Laois U20s are a shambles - avoid

Healy appears to have seriously underachieved with any group he was over. I’d be relatively confident Gavin Keary will get a better tune out of this crop.

It’s pure hot potato stuff but shows how social media/media influences refs and pundits. How no one calls out Tipp or Cork is beyond me. Only Limerick are reffed then.

It’s too easy really

Offaly are worse again I think.

I saw them play in a challenge a few weeks back. They were fairly shite at hurling but they were world class at shouting insults when they finally won a ball off of their vastly superior opponent

What’s with dragging us all the way down to Kerry then for tonight’s game? :man_shrugging:t2:

Carter over them again?

No, thanks be to god. A Portlaoise man I think.

Offaly 20s have Ger Hickey (originally Broadford Clare, now Crecora) coaching them

Has been involved with Clare Minor AI winning team and had good success as a coach to be fair. Really really nasty piece of work though. Horrific man management too

Payback for dragging us to Milltown Malbay and Cooraclare in the last few years, perhaps?

I’ve had a word. They are moving it from Mountcollins to Rathkeale. Not sure if thats any improvement
