But overall this dirge is typical of the thuggery you come to expect from the Munster Football Championship. You wouldn’t see it in Ulster or Leinster where free-flowing, attacking football with emphasis on the basic skills is the order of the day.
Cork are cranking up the gears and Bryan Sheehan is the only man keeping Kerry in it.
Cork half backline and midfield well on top…There forwards are pressurising the Kerry backs and are always in their face making it difficult for them to clear their lines
Exciting game there but quality wasn’t brilliant. Ref blew up nice and early after taking time out to book Kerrigan during injury time. Gave a few petty decisions during the game too.
Ref engineered a nice draw there alright. Very soft free for Gooch at the end. Probably a fair enough result though, disappointing that Cork didn’t go on to win it given they led for pretty much the entire second half. I’d have thought Colm O’Neill needs to start next day. The forwards were pretty disappointing today. Good performance from 1 to 9, Kissane was particularly good.
You could say that Sid. Then you could consider that Munster has provided five of the finalists in the last three years and say that it doesn’t really matter a fuck.
Looking like a though draw for the first round of the qualifiers now with the likes of Mayo, Kildare, Armagh, Derry and Donegal all in the pot. Luckily Wexford should breeze through next weeks encounter an escape playin one of thse lads B)
Was at the Cork Kerry game yesterday. Cork left it behind them. Should have the game won with 10 mins left. That Walsh fella shouldn’t be let cross the '45 in future. Wonder what price we’d get on Darragh O’Sé making a return to the county team before the end of the season? Kerry midfield is utter rubbish. Quirke is nothing only a lug and Scanlon always did his best work when supporting Darragh. Moran is a rubbish option off the bench. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Maher start the next day. Canty did very well on Donaghy in fairness to him if he wasn’t fully fit and Gooch was annoymous. Donncha Walsh and Darran O’Sullivan were shite.
Cork were still too fond of arseing around from about 45 metres out with no forwards moving off the ball like the last 15 minutes of last years All Ireland Final. The only difference was that this time Kissane just hoofed points over from distance. Cork should win the replay unless they choke again.
