8 to 7 I think to Cavan Manus. Rory G having a mare for Fermanagh
Cavan 0-8 Fermanagh 0-7. As I said, it’s good for what it is - low to mid ranking Ulster Championship fare.
Many thanks to all of you.
It would be good to have Nesty on the Dublin panel but unfortunately the bird has flown. Seanie Johnston puts the Breffni boys 10-9 up with abeauty.
It was a case of “I’m not awake yet” for Rory Gallagher during the first half but he’ll be hoping to surf the crest of a wave in the second 35. Ah no just as I write he’s taken off. He could have had a great career with Fermanagh but drank Too Much Alcohol.
Carson will fight and Carson will be right as he puts Fermanagh 0-11 to 0-10. Seamus Quigley, just on for the rock n roll legend, who looks like he’s drank plenty of alcohol himself, puts Fermanagh 12-10 up with a majestic point.
Sad to see Rory Gallagher taken off like that. Some might say the Gallagher brothers were an oasis in the desert for Fermanagh football during the barren years, but they let it all slide away. I’d put it down to too much cigarettes and alcohol. Still, the memories will live forever. Hopefully the boys won’t look back in anger at the end of it all.
Poor Ulster championship fare at the moment. Still 12-10.
Nesty proves he’s no swallower as he brings it back to 12-11.
Magnificent block by Mark Little to save a certain point. That’s real prime time stuff.
And that could be the decisive goal for Fermanagh now. Tom Carr’s not really delivered much in Roscommon or Cavan in truth.
Goal Fermanagh. 1-12 to 0-12. Ryan Carson.
And they follow up with a point by Seamus Quigley.
Tommy Carr about to crash and burn.
It’ll be a victory Fermanagh have erned if that’s to be the result.
I wonder will Cavan move Paul Brady up for the last couple of minutes? Can they get an equalising goal yet? The answer is nobody knows.
There are an awful lot of fat lads playing for Fermanagh
And there it is. Sweet as Sherry for Fermanagh.
1-13 to 0-13 FT.
Nice finish with Shane Lyons bursting out with the ball.
Cavan should have been further ahead at half time but Fermanagh were the better side in the second half.
Bernard Flynn says Fermanagh came in under the radar.
When the fat was in the fire late in the second half they had more of it to burn.
Well, thats another shock for the Championship, albeit not a major one,I would have thought Cavan might have a bit too much for Fermanagh.
The qualifiers promise to throw up some tasty fixtures.
(Excellent commentary again Sidney.)
They were waiting in the long grass!!
Brutal decision from Cavan captain on the goal to go and try and win it and leave all the space behind. Cavan had some good footballers that they didn’t use and made horrible decisions.
Agreed on Carr, he hasn’t been great really.
