Woah, Woah, take that back, how dare you try to ruin my good name, I believe its on record there that I said I’m not sure. None of us know how we’ll react until we’re placed into a position of huge and unprovoked provocation such as Galvin was by that person. I’d like to think I’d be as magnanimous as Galvin, but we never know until we’re placed in the position. All I can say for sure is that Galvin has only grown in my admiration as a result of this incident and at the end of the day I thaok God that we will still be able to enjoy him gracing our fields for a little longer at least.
I know how i’d react.
You think you know, welcome to the Real World.
No i know, its happened before. Experience is a great thing. I wonder sometimes do you actually play the game at all.
You’ve been orally gouged? Or you decided against taking advantage of Franks expertise and weasling out via a loophole as only Cork GAA can do? I was complimenting Galvin on being the bigger man as Mullane was and not pursuing the matter further.
Retaliating and laying lads out would be common practice alright at junior level…normally the sign of a lad who hasn’t the discipline to hack it at a higher level…selfish thing to do to your teammates and wouldn’t be tolerated too long at a half decent senior team…
No you idiot, i have had fellas roaring in my face or loosing the plot like Cadogan was. Always feel a fella is too wound up when that happens, usually brings a smile to my face, i wouldn’t be putting my hands near the guy, he’s there for the taking then.
Whats all this about being a big man and accepting your punishment, its what normal people do. In both cases it had to happen several times before they “took it like a man”.
My reaction would be, its about time.
By the way, anyone see the carry on of those two retards for Cavan at the weekend…two right fucking toerags…Yet another team that one of the Carr’s over them with a cynical and malicious streak to it…
Yea I mentioned it last night Puke, the midfielder Stafford took the biscuit. Idiocy.
Spot on Puke.
I hate Carr for that very reason. When he managed the Ros they were even more hateful that usual. He had all the scumbags playing and they were fierce dirty on the pitch.
I remembr we played them in the Quailifers in 2003 and lost to a last minute goal. O’Neill, Grehan and a few others went out to do Seamus Quinn in that game. It was obvious that they were under orders.
Don’t find Ros half as bad these days to be honest since Carr went and that team broke up.
Exactly.
Lorcan Mulvey was the midfielder sent off.
I’d nearly swear they called him Stafford last night Bandage? To be honest I’d have little or no knowledge of Cavan midfielders though.
James Stafford plays midfield for Wicklow - they probably said it was him, as they sometimes do on RTE.
That’d make more sense alright.
Pauric Lodge repeatedly kept calling Eoghan O’Gara “Michael Darragh McAuley” on the radio yesterday. It’s not as if they look anything like each other.
I know i’ve said it before but Dublin have never replaced the likes of keith Barr Eamon Heery or Paddy ‘The Ram’ Moran …this current team are as soft a shite…meath walked through them…
and that Bastick is too stupid and obvious when he tries to be the hard man…
Its the middle class GAA culture in Dublin these days.
When you’ve the likes of upper class ncc playing for the minors from Malahide you know your fucked.
garbage kev…that Meath team that won 2 all-irelands in late 80’s were made up of teachers, doctor, journalist,a vet etc.and they were as hard as nails…
Different parents and attitude though scumpot, there is a difference between middle class country and middle class city IMO. You can call it garbage all you want, but there is some truth in it.
I don’t think the Dubs have enough players who play on instinct, they are mostly all machines.
