In fairness last Sunday was Offaly’s All Ireland final they were always going to struggle to get up for today…Hopefully they rally a bit as a hammering will do neither side any good in the scheme of thing…
The tight pitch is the major factor. The truth is Galway will win fuck all because the big games will be played in either Thurles or Croke Park. As I said last week, Offaly were always at a risk of being steamrolled in a smaller field.

I have been to a good few Offaly games recently and have gave my opinion on the team.
I believe they are good enough to play like last Sunday every time.
But all the wides, lapses in concentration and bad decision making kill them again and again.
Would love to see them back being competitive game in game out, for a county with a very small pick they always seem to produce decent hurlers…They seemed to have no game plan playing with the breeze first half and all they did was pump it long and shoot from crazy angles…
It was plain to see last week. They’re an extremely physical, averagely skillful team with a few outstanding players.
That said, Offaly brought no variety in their play at all. They may naturally change to a more supportive style against the wind but I would have expected them to be much snappier. It’s in their nature.
