I said i’d start this thread today seeing as we had some action, and it can be used going forward. Was going to start a Cork one, but might as well make it Country wide. Anybody at McGrath cup, O’ Byrne Cup etc today.
I went to Cork verses CIT. Reasonable open game that Cork won 1-15 to 2-08. Cork was more or less 2nd string, but guys who showed up well were Fintan Gould, Noel O’ Donovan, Declan Hayes (John Ice cool penalty takers brother) and Paddy O’ Se in goal. CIT had very encouraging performances from Ray Carey, Paul Kerrigan, Stephan O’ Donaghue, Colm O’ Neill and particulary Paul O’ Flynn who’s after getting huge all of a sudden.
The yellow card thing was a farce, more so because the ref was so bloody inconsistant. Eddie Burke went for something that wasn’t even a free, while Alan O’ Connor went for a crazy hand trip, which was fair enough. But CIT could have had 4 or 5 guys yellowed and they weren’t.
