What happenrd to the auld fella that used to sing the song at the end years ago? Dead I suppose. That was a woeful effort.
The Rose of Tralee needs a strong Offaly.
It was simply the purest form of judging a woman in this country.
Fun fact: Dawn Bradfield who played Imelda the Lovely girl in the Father Ted Lovely Girls contest also played a former Offaly Rose in the most memorable episode of the 2005 RTE drama series Pure Mule. And she put out, too.
