Official TFK GAA Coaches Corner

Looks like they are decoupling though.

The domino effect of the split season.

The crazies have taken over the asylum it seems

The arrogance of the cunts bringing it back to Congress after it being defeated. Keep asking the question until they get the answer they want.

What has the split season got to do with It?

If you dont play any Club GAA (underage particularly) from January to July, its logistically impossible to fit in proper Minor, Under 21 and Adult Hurling and Football Championship’s.

Well you can’t have underage club gaa in January and February anyway. Loads of club underage matches from March on, leagues etc.

There is no Club Minor or Under 21 Championship in either hurling or football now until July.

Playing off an Under 21 and most of a Minor Football Championship before Exam time would alleviate a lot of pressure.

But, but, but the split season zealots want round robins and back doors and all sorts in Inter County from January to July.

Come here mate no one gives a flying fuck about football in Tipp.

Thanks to the split season zealots so its a straight choice between each county abandoning one code fully or else decouple and allow no 18 year olds play Adult GAA.

I hope ye’ll be happy with the legacy ye leave.

It’s remarkably stupid to link the split season to the U18/u17 debate/shouting match.

Remarkably.

Clubs populated by poor leaders unable to engage with the 18 and 19 year olds blaming the system.

You don’t hear @gman going on like that.

Despite missing 8 through injury, 3 that have emigrated, 4 on a space mission and another lad who’s on the beer for the year.

Its incredible to hear the shit lads are coming out with. Work harder, develop stronger. You wont keep them all, you’ll have good harvests and weak harvests. If you’ve done your best, thats all you can do. As seen by the amount of amalgamations out there, some just want the easy way out sometimes.

Where was this sleeves up, shoulder to the wheel attitude when you were whining about Dublin & Limerick funding for the last 10 years?

Games gone me hole.

exactly.

and we still won. just get on with it ta fuck

Split season, money and u18 v u17 are now part of the same argument?

All we can do is our work at club level. The issue with Dublin is a different element entirely as its impossible to compete with a financially doped model in Dublin. Numbers and Financial doping = Endgame, which is what we got.

If it suits the agenda…

Its 100% linked to the split season.

If you dont play any club championship in either code for 6 and half months of the year, then you can’t really logistically fit six championships (Minor Hurling, Minor Football, Under 21 Hurling, Under 21 Football, Adult Hurling and Adult Football) in 5 months.

Hence the need for decoupling.

I get it you think it’s fine for 18 year olds to be drinking, driving and whatever else but not allowing them play adult.

I fundamentally disagree with you.

I think it’s 100% fine for u18s to play adult.

But not when they’re also playing underage. Because it fucks up fixtures.

Driving, voting or any other age related activity is irrelevant.

So either leave as is or U18 and decouple.

An endgame of Kerry and Tyrone winning all irelands? I don’t remember that as part of your 'game is gone ’ narrative.

If it helps me to feel like I’m winning said argument. Absolutely.
