At that age level it’s still in divisions. I can put you in touch with another good Callan man involved with Kiltha Óg who’ll sort you out with a match
Lads, if a fella gets sent off in an u-21 hurling match what’s the suspension? Would it carry over to the u-21 football championship? (circa 4 weeks later)
Depends on what the suspension is. But generally, a one or 2 game suspension will be in that competition only
so just the hurling?
Yeah, just the hurling.
Competition and code unless he kilt someone
Thanks. I’m over our u-21 footballers and our only lad on the age managed to get sent off in the u-21 hurling, so that’s good news.
How would you analyse your own performance on tfk?
I don’t get it?
I think you’ve a lot to give but you’re afraid of vulnerability. You need to open up a little.
Weird
You just don’t get it fella
Forget yer streaming, and half year age groups.
Tis all about bio banding these days
Limerick and Clare hurling academies played a couple of matches with teams selected based on bio-banding earlier in the year.
Wexford did similar at u-14 this year
Wollie has a great interview with Stephen Lavin out.
3 year old is attending the “nursery” (under 5s) on Saturday mornings the past few months. They had a small sided match there for the first time this year. She was unwilling to get stuck in despite promises of ice cream afterwards. Is under 5 a bit young to be doing small sided games given lack of awareness of others kids would have when wielding the hurley?
3 year old not getting stuck in ffs
Ah I know but others her age more eager I guess and others were shy like her too. I thought the match was a bit much for that age
Aye and they’ll have it packed-in before they’re 12. Let them come to it in their own time. Just make it a positive experience. If that means playing ring-a-rosy, so be it. Once that positive association with the club is created, they will keep at it over the longer term.
