I imagine this is merely a smokescreen, I cant believe Barack hasn’t pulled a few strings in this matter already.[/QUOTE]
Of course he would t get involved. The man has more sense than to get involved in a fucking pointless issue like this. Now is only the turnip munching fucking idiots in charge of this country would learn the same fucking lesson and keep out of it.

Excellent play from the President, by using the word fiasco he has directly revealed his thoughts on the matter, yet at the same time has managed to keep a statesman like distance.
If this isn’t resolved in the next 24 hours, I expect him to alter his stance to DEFCON 3 and bombing to commence shortly after.
Any word from the Corrigan brothers yet? This kind of bolloxology is grist to their mill and now the Obama angle as well!
Toor a fucking loo! Mother fuckers!
I’m inclined to believe @Dirty Hands Walter that €50M is a very conservative estimate. He’s a businessman you see.
I do find the short sightedness of these idiots amusing. I despise the passtime that is golf, yet I was happy to welcome all those simpletons to the country so we could fleece them during the Ryder Cup. This is more than great music, this is about saving the country for our children.

The Ryder Cup broke this country. The amount of pointless golf resort hotels that sprung up in the midlands attempting to cash in in its wake was stupefying.
Fianna Fáil and local Govt to blame for that, nothing to do with any else. Irrelevant in this discussion as the train was out of control long before that point. Garth can save us yet you are content to watch us burn.
I’m not against anything MBB you little cock sucker… I couldn’t give a fuck what people want to waste their money on, and I agree It’s a joke that they pulled it so close to the event. It’s the bandwagonism and the shite-hawkery that does my tits in. What do I give a fuck if 400k simpletons go listen to a honky in cowboy boots and hat, more power to them and you.

Can you please provide a reconciliation of how this €50m will be generated if the concerts go ahead?
THE RESIDENTS OF Croke Park say they are willing to facilitate the Garth Brooks gigs.
In a statement today they said that they were willing to consider a new direction to end the row that has seen the country music megastar cancel five gigs at GAA HQ.
“The officers of the Croke Park Community and Handball Centre have deliberated on the ongoing crisis surrounding the proposed Garth Brooks concerts.
In the interest of all the Croke Park communities we are prepared to consider a new direction with a view to facilitating the holding of the Garth Brooks concerts.
They say that Lord Mayor Christy Burke has been told of their stance as he prepares to meet Dublin City Council Chief Executive Owen Keegan.
“The Lord Mayor Christy Burke, who has been a central figure in the negotiations, has agreed to bring this latest development to the attention of the various parties involved.”
Oh its on, its fucking on
By the way, these fucking chances - The officers of the Croke Park Community and Handball Centre
