In this instance - most definitely. They’ve tried to plough ahead, dismissing the residents, and I’m delighted it has backfired.
Even worse so. The people I really feel sorry for though are the people who were too young to ride on the first Garett Brooks bandwagon. This was their chance, to be part of something really special. And those little people in their red brick inner city tenements are taking it away from them. It’s shameful.
I think you’ll find demand drove ticket sales, not greed.
Id love to, but dont want to offend your new veganism
you try have a barbecue in your back garden on clonliffe road with the kildare footballers shooting into the hill pal…
Free footballs, whats not to like
Makes a change from the Dubs who are shooting up on the hill I guess.
that could be just on the one day you get to go there…but over a season its not a issue…trust me…
There’s menace to that, Direction Action Against Drugs menace.
As somebody quite rightly said on Liveline, this was our World Cup, and now its been taken away from us. That’s sad.
It’s also sad that like the way poor oul’ Cecil living in his hovel down in rural Kilkenny can’t see his county playing because of the Sky, real Garth Brooks fans arr being denied the chance to see their hero in action by some faceless residents association. Its the last straw (hat) for Ireland as far as I’m concerned.
Timmy Dooley to the rescue:clap:
if gigs are cancelled a lot of people who bought tickets on done deal, ebay etc will get burned as I think original buyer gets refund if paid by card - could be a lot of touts burned by this which would be pleasing

Sinn Féin is to put forward an emergency motion at Monday’s Dublin City Council meeting aimed at ensuring that all five Garth Brooks concerts to go ahead at Croke Park.
The party are hoping that city manager Owen Keegan will intervene.
It comes after the promoter of the concerts, Peter Aiken, said he will make a decision by next Tuesday on whether the concerts will go ahead.
Dublin City Council has allowed three of the five gigs to take place on July 25, 26 and 27 - but Garth Brooks is adamant that he will play five or none at all.
“At this stage the five concerts should go ahead,” said Sinn Féin deputy leader is Mary Lou McDonald.
“So our Councillors are bringing forward an emergency motion to Dublin City Council on Monday.
“It will ask Mr Keegan to intervene. It will ask for the decision to be reversed, it will ask that the concerts will go ahead, most importantly it will ask that we do not sleepwalk ourselves into a situation like this [again] - and of course the rights of residents and local people have to be respected.”
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has admitted to being a big Garth Brooks fan.
The Louth TD said that ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’ is his favourite track.
He jumped at the chance to sing a few lines in Dublin this afternoon but needed a little help with the lyrics.
Fucking gutted.
