Soc Dems get the seat in Dublin South Central. Got a whack of Labour transfers. SF get two seats but Hazel De Nortuin PBP misses out.
I make it 11 seats each now for Labour and Soc Dems but that depends on Cork North Central.

If Lab and Soc Dems sit back from this they shouldn’t be looking to rush into gov with FF/FG but to get some sort of alliance to see over the course of the next gov if they can create a proper left of centre alternative to FF/FG.

SF look to have repeated their Donegal 2016 disaster in Cavan-Monaghan here. Looking for three seats, they look like they may end up with only one.

Carthy is poison. He’s not at all likeable. He comes across like an entitled twerp with little ability who believes in nothing. He’s a shit speaker. SF have made a big mistake in promoting him to be one of their main public faces.
MacLochlainn from Donegal or Martin Kenny in Leitrim are far more palatable public faces.

As I already said, this was all down to Simon. He parachuted Billy in over 3 candidates more suited. Billy shoulda been cuter, should have had a contest, that way he’d have the party fully behind him in Kerry. He had no ground game. Very naive of Simon.
