Official TFK Irish General Election 2024

I should clarify that I’m not altogether unhappy that it’s a boring campaign.

The amount of TDs who are not standing again and the expanded number of seats has led to a lot of constituencies seeming like pretty faceless processions.

There hasn’t even been a debate yet though. What’s happening on that front? I presume there’s an RTE debate with seven or eight of them? There’s only 13 days left. Normally all this stuff has well started by now.

I’m not sure if the American election and the horrible outcome of that has led to election fatigue here. I think so to some extent.

Irish elections need to be in June. There hasn’t been one in June for 27 and a half years. I’d even accept May at this stage but it’s 17 and a half years since the last May election even.

Si has renergised FG, they’d be lucky to get 20
Seats with Leo

He’d to pay damages in the end. Around 40k.

A right two fingers to the senator

Derek Blighe is pronounced Derekb Lie.

Can be difficult to get your tongue around the -kb pronunciation.

I promised Jim Ryan my vote today @peddlerscross.

I told Michael Lowry I’ll do him a twist.

A representative of Michael Smith Jr. called to the door but Smith is a bit too much of an entitled bollocks for my liking.

I’ll probably give the number 1 to AK47.

Has Seamus Healy a chance of getting in again in Tipp South or is his time gone?

I doubt it. He might make a dent in Mattie McGraths vote in Clonmel but not enough. It is really a piss poor choice in both “Ridings”

I would have thought if Martin Browne’s vote collapses Healy might benefit?

You’re going to get one FF, the FG man Murphy from Clonmel is strong and the last seat will go to McGrath I reckon.

Healy doesn’t have the appeal outside Clonmel and is a while since he was last relevant.

South Tipperary, much like in hurling l, is a wasteland when it comes to prodicing decent politicians. Corner boy country

Mattie will top it and Murphy is a certainty.

The last seat is a titanic battle between Goldsboro, O’Heney, Healy, Browne and The Chicken.

I hope and think O’Heney will get there but its a bit of a lottery.

I’m looking forward to Yatesy’s preview on it.

West Tipperary has struggled to produce a certainty since Tom Hayes stepped aside

Murphy is Clonmel.

Heney is far from a certainty but brings a lot of razzmatazz to proceedings and getting Cathal Barrett’s backing in that Social Media stunt carries serious weight.

Is there no Lowry aligned Independent running in the south?

No I thought O’Heney might fall under the Lowry banner but he’s going alone.

Lowry got 5k votes in South Tipp the last time so interesting to see where they go. I think O’Heney and Mattie might share the bulk of them.

There’s an urban legend that pre 2016 a significant amount of spoiled votes would be made in South Tipperary where voters would express there support for Lowry

I’d say there’ll be a lot of spoiled votes from the Kilkenny area of North Tipp this time.

I couldn’t imagine them buying into Lowry or AK47.

The diving cunt!

Do people like Cathal Barrett? Maybe in south Tipp his indiscretions aren’t as widely known
