Official TFK Premier League Darts 2013 Thread

Has started tonight in Belfast & live on Sky Sports 1.

First match saw a winning debut for Robert Thornton over Andy Hamilton 7-5.

Second game sees James Wade play Wes Newton.

Third up are Raymond Van Barneveld v Gary Anderson.

Simon Whitlock v Adrian Lewis

Last up is Phil Taylor v Michael Van Gerwan.

New format this year with best of 12 legs matches with no breaks in play.

Van Gerwen having trouble finishing out his legs. Taylor getting booed and jeered by the nordies. Vg just missed 5 match darts after being on a 9 darter after 6 darts.

Bottles it

Van Gerwen bottles it to allow Taylor in for a 6-6 draw having been 6-4 up

MVG shit the course there big style.

Barney & Whitlock were pretty impressive too. Hard to pick winners every week.

Tremendous to read Anthony Stokes slagging off the inept standard of this shambles on Twitter tonight.

I always knew a man of his background and credentials would be a firm advocate of the British Darts Organisation.

We could be in for something very, very, special here as Wes Newton takes on Simon Whitlock in this bottom of the table clash.

Anderson beat Taylor and Lewis beat Van Gerwen in 2 shocks tonight.

That cunt Taylor getting dogs abuse from the crowd in Glasgow tonight.

On his walk up something was thrown at Taylor, hitting him in the ear. The cunt was fuming.

Come on Barney.

The Power wins 7-3, despite some knacker spitting on him.

He was spat at dodgy…don’t like the man but that’s cuntish

Hmm, was Totti online last night?

Glasgow’s a right kip but they never fail to dish out an avalanche of abuse to the sex offender. Makes a pleasant change to the fawning that goes on elsewhere.

Wade beat Van Gerwen last night.

My least favourite player beating my favourite player.

Large swathes of empty seats in the arena for this first semi-final between Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld.

Wayne Mardle in his pre-match preview gave Barneveld a great chance of winning as he beat Taylor in the league phase. Mardle then noted in his next sentence that Barneveld will have a psychological barrier to break as he hasn’t beaten Taylor on TV in his last 17 attempts.

Christ you’d miss Sid Waddell on commentary on this (his last match was one year ago tonight). Wayne Mardle’s commentaries are extremely offensive to my ears. John Gwynne better be on after the break.

van Gerwen won 10-8 on a 132 bullseye finish after being 5-2 down.

That 132 finish to win was tremendous. Shame we bullied all the PDC fanboys off the forum when something like that happens.

Missed all this last night. Sounds like a classic.

I love MVG, even if he looks like someone out of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
