A ridiculously sad event in Irish music history. She provided a soundtrack to my youth. I was devastated. There was nobody seemingly there to fill the void left in that genre of music broadcasting.

Very similar to how Donegal 2014 haunted Dublin for years after.
When people look back on the record books in 40 or 50 years time, they will be asking, how did it happen?
Ballygunner winning the previous year in 2018, and following it up with wins in 2021, 2022 and most likely 2023. Borrisileigh not mapped either side of that one year, yet on that day they found a way.
