He got a couple of frees today because he is Pat Horgan, I think he is done too as a top level player but was worth his place today
I saw that, beaten to 50/50 ball and then wrestled. Ref blew.
I think heâd be better off at 11, drifting off centre backs and picking scores, he aint winning 50/50s
Liam Gordon made some very odd calls especially the one for Currans goal that he called back and gave a free.
That Car Part Daly chap had some game. Whatâs his story? I donât follow childrenâs, parochial or educational establishment hurling, and limit the amount of gaeilge coverage games I watch, so Iâd never heard of him before last week. I didnât pay much attention to the pandemic championships either so not sure if heâs featured for them before this season? An absolute Veulta dâEspana of a display in midfield. Caused wreck going forward and put in a shit load of tackles and defensive work too. Really fast too. Looked like his calves had cramped up when he was forced off so donât think there should be any fitness issues.
You could have said all that in 4/5 words you prick.
Younger brother of Iarflaith. Product of the famed CBC Cork hurling nursery. One of the noted Daly hurling clan from Lismore and if that wasnât enough his mother is a Stakelum from Tipperary. It would have been more remarkable if he hadnât been a hurler.
Eye opening. Fair play to Waterford. Comfortably the better team and are a serious, serious outfit this year. By a distance the best placed team to take down Limerick.
So many steps back tonight. Waterford just ran through us with absolute ease.
What the fuck were the management doing with Joyce that close to fucking goal. Had no influence on the game from the corner.
We donât have the same workrate that Waterford do. A running game between both sides with a warzone in the middle third is only going to suit the more physical, more imposing, and harder working team. Their link play was also much better than ours.
We didnt go direct nearly enough. Too mang times lads running to goal had to turn the head to maintain the ball. Connolly was playing 30 yeards out from goal for fuck sake and nothing hit into him.
Was in Godâs Stadium tonight.
Thought it was an average enough game. The cold weather probably didnt help.
Dessie floating round the half forward line looked like Cahill not showing his full hand. I actually think Waterford have a lot of room for improvement. Their hurling wasnt great at times and the ball going into the forward line in the first half especially was fairly shit.
Cork are tremendous fun all the same. They are a parody of themselves living up to their soft centre reputation.
Any other brothers?
Gluaiseacht?
SolĂșbthacht?
Fadhb?
Well in relation to this thread and this years league Limerick were garbage.
Liam did that just to fuck with you
What was to be gained from going all out? Whether theyâve gone about it right remains to be seen.
Iâd agree with you. I didnât think we played especially well and some of our lads were well under par. The fact that we could get goals whenever we wanted was great but youâd be innocent enough to think weâll be doing that against the likes of Limerick or Clare later in Munster or Galway or Kilkenny later in the year if we got that far. Cork play a bizarre owl game. Slow short puck outs, loopy fucking passes with the stick or the hand and never going for goals. Eight points down with 5 minutes to go and taking wild pots for points from 90 yards.
One observation. Timing a game to start twenty minutes before sunset with the sun setting straight down the field is nuts and fair to no-one.
One other point. If I was Liam Cahill Iâd be driving out to Dunmore in the morning and asking Soki what would it take for him to come back into the set up. We wonât win an All Ireland with either of the current keepers.
Have you an issue with native Irish names?
They havenât the wrists for a slick short game, they should ditch it.
They are a parody of themselves living up to their soft centre reputation.
Jesus thatâs some assassination of a comment.
Cahill has done a seriois job woth Waterford. They were awful in 2â18 and 2â19. There were signs in 19 when they got to the league final of a good team. A bit of mental metal about them now along with silverware
I didnât think the lad in goal for Waterford did much wrong. A lot better than the lad at the other end anyway
. A lot better than the lad at the other end anyway
And fellas roaring to get rid of Nash
