Only the 2022 National Hurling League? Only the Allianz 2022 National Hurling League

There will surely be a reaction out of Cork in two weeks time. If not then the season could slip away pretty quickly on them without a performance at the very least

Cork were soft three years ago, they are soft today and they’ll be soft in three years time. Bate’n teams in nothing pre season games and they getting talked up as contenders, don’t make me laugh

Call me mad but I actually think Cork might beat Limerick. This is based on nothing except a silly hunch but I think they might just dig out a serious performance at home and pull off a shock.

We will be happy with that. Bennet back and firing. Calum back and flying. The goals going in.
Thought OB was all over the shop with his hands for the goal but that’s being critical of him over all. He is a way better option in there at present.
Aussie to come back in. I Daly too and hopefully Barron.
Aussie with Dessie and Stephen Bennet. Looks good.

Hard to leave anyone out of that starting 15 after today to accommodate Barron, Daly, Aussie etc

That was a paddling and I didn’t see it coming. Well done all waterford based posters @Fagan_ODowd @anon76546466 @ChairmanDan

I don’t think it’ll be much of a shock, I think Cork will beat Limerick in a fortnight as well,
But… I think Limerick will be a different proposition when they get to Croke park

A trio of forwards as good or better than any team has.

Weird shit can happen - if Limerick do lose to Cork, well actually, regardless of whatever result they get against Cork, they have to play Waterford the following week.

So if Limerick lose to Cork, they could be looking at two losses to start off. Then they have to go to Ennis.

It would be a very big shock if Cork beat Limerick

It was a very big shock when Cork beat Tipperary in 2017. Still happened.

I am absolutely buzzing for Paddy Curran too. A brilliant player. Thank fuck Cahill is getting tune from him. He is too good a talent for Waterford to waste. McGrath did his best to retire him.

It’s hard to gauge how Limerick are timing their run and where they are at. But if they’re at only 60% of what we know they can do, it will be sufficient to beat Cork.

Yes I was making the point that it would be a shock. Not that it was impossible that they’d win

I wouldn’t dispute that but they are capable of raising the odd gallop when they get the wind at their backs.

Look at 2019, out hurled in a similar manner first day out v Tipp as they were tonight but then turned in a huge performance v Limerick the next day out out only to revert to type v Clare and Kilkenny later that year.

I think another flat performance and beating v Limerick would spell the end of Kingston and momentum would be very hard to turn round heading to Walsh park the next day out

Cork need to simplify their game. They are trying to run it from everywhere, even when it isn’t on.

Horgan looked finished tonight. Kingston should be starting.

Hunger is a great sauce. Waterford will have that in droves. I couldn’t believe how lowly lads were ranking Waterford in the power rankings a few weeks back. Only for this outstanding Limerick team they’d have probably won All-Ireland in 2020 and 21. I’d say Liam Cahill will have them absolutely desperate for a proper crack off Limerick this year.

His best game recently.

Fought hard but I just cant get past his lack of mobility and that team isnt going to give him the ball he needs

Lookit, he is far from their biggest issue and I shouldn’t single him out, a lot of their stick passing is laborious and serves no purpose. I dont see where he fits in.

The idea of it is ‘through the lines’, but they are forced sideways,
