Only the 2022 National Hurling League? Only the Allianz 2022 National Hurling League

Seems I was informed wrong about MB.

If both Limerick and Waterford come out, you would have to say based on last night that Clare have as much of a chance as both Tipp and Cork

I’ve no grá for cork I just thought they were better then they were given credit for, until last night. That was a very poor showing. I still think they have a lot of quality but you’d have to think they needed to be bringing it together by last night if they’re going to make a real run at the championship. I think tipp are very weak and will be surprised if they do anything and I thought Clare were weaker than cork, but I may have to revise that now, Clare will at least have a bit of fight in them.

Story with Flanagan?

I should have added here that St Carthages is the Cathedral in Lismore and the name of the under age merger club between Lismore and Ballysaggart so Carthach would be an entirely appropriate name in that region.

Wha? Since when?

Suppose they are closest to each other. Or is there geographically any other options for either?

No that would be the reason.

Ballysaggart is a pretty sad area in poor weather. Poor cunts left on the periphery really with Cork, Limerick & Tipp border squeezing up in them

Fairly remote alright particularly from Waterford city. We’ve been lucky to have them for hurling purposes.

By the way. Congrats on a fine win last night Fagan

Surely Lismore is a big enough town to field underage on their own?

jez i just assumed that they were fielding on their own

I’m sure it is but I suspect the merger is to give chaps from Ballysaggart an outlet underage.

Should surely be looking after their own first.

To go off on a tangent for a minute, Ballysaggart is the oldest GAA club in the county, founded in 1885. That may also make it the oldest in the country. They played their first senior hurling match in 2020. They are also the smallest club in the county.

They won the first ever competition organised by the GAA, the 1885 Waterford Football Championship.

Smallest club in terms of catchment area or membership?

Membership I believe.
