Thatās fantastic. Kieran is fierce annoying. There was a case 20 years ago or do where he was caught rotten copying Hugh mclivanney paragraphs verbatim for his star column. Havenāt seen it mentioned since

As Shaggy once said, it wasnāt me. I canāt recall who it was but it may have been an account set up specifically for the purpose? Maybe someone in the journalism game whoād copped it & wanted to get it out there. If I recall correctly, heād reproduced McIlvanyās piece in the aftermath of Jock Steinās sudden death as a tribute to Paidi OāSe who similarly died suddenly. The Sunday Times ran a story on it then, saying the similarities were noticed on the terrific Internet site, thefreekick.com. Think Leen subsequently did a mea culpa article & said he didnāt intend to plagiarise, it was just that the classic McIlvany piece was ingrained in his mind & the same feelings were subconsciously stirred up when Paidi died. Or something like that, might be worth searching our archives.
