They had Luke Humphries on Monday night.

Careful now.

Call it as I see it, the other publican was alright in fairness

Was that Hugh?

Jeez I’m sickened I missed that.

Two great characters whose clubs meet in the Junior Football at the weekend.

Them’'s the ones.

Tis great to see Emmets rising from their slumber.

That’s a game I wouldn’t mind going to but alas other commitments.

Great to see Listowel bounce back some bit as they were on the brink a few years ago.

There’ll be some serious porter drinkers on it around Dublin and Listowel this weekend, men with dozens of North Kerry medals holding court in various establishments telling tales of neer do well.

Listowel are having a big banquet in the Louis Fitzgerald on Sunday night.

They are dead right too.

Was it Monaleen who went home by bus last year after the Inter Hurling Final and by the time they got to Limerick it was 2am and they were all only fit for the cot.

The Kerry boys would be well versed in how best to treat an All Ireland night in the capital. The Louis will be hopping with Kennellys, Buckleys, Reens, Guinans, Connors, Connells and Whelans. Be some hopping and shouwldering.

They are all going up Saturday night too.

The Palace Bar will be hit and I’m sure they’ll give Hughie his turn too.

Are Listowel Emmets exclusively Gaelic Football or do they play hurling too, or do members play for a separate hurling club?

They wouldnt know one end of a hurley from the other.

Don’t think any of them even play for any of the North Kerry Hurling clubs.

It’ll be a mighty aul evening in The Palace so, the big men will be holding court. Who has the record for North Kerrys at the moment?

I got very emotional watching that.

The Monday drinking around Dublin after a September All Ireland was probably the greatest day to be alive in Ireland.
