Other International Football Matches - September 2012

Holland leading Turkey 1-0 in Amsterdam live on ESPN.

Arda has just missed an absolute sitter to level it.

Montenegro 2-1 against Poland HT. Vucinic scrambled one over the line just on the HT whistle.

I maintain full faith that we can turn it around in the second half.

Just flicked to ITV, England lead 3-0 away to Moldova. No idea who has scored.

Lampard 2 (first one a fairly soft handball peno) and Defoe. Watched it up to the third goal, England were very comfortable.

Watched Scotland and Serbia draw 0-0 there. Scotland played 4-1-4-1 and they were fairly shit. Caldwell was actually their best player in the holding midfield role. The game was complete with the usual Alan Hutton two-footed tackle and a sly elbow by Naismith. Miller was upfront on his own and left on too long when he was struggling. Rhodes only got the last ten minutes. There doesn’t seem to be too much support for Levein within their support.

My beloved Colombia crushed Uruguay 4-0 last night.

We did, Sid 2-2 draw and might have won. New manager, bit nervous overall. Playing England in Wwa next month, must go to that…

We drew 1-1 away in Azerbaijan that really is a terrible result
Our token moderate Sunni Muslim player Birbars Natcho of Rubin Kazan put us one up after half time but then the Azeris equalised and TBH could have went on to win in .
Itai Shecter ( Kaiserlautern) and Tomer Hemed ( Mallorca) miseed a few glorious opportunities in the first half that unfortunatly we have regretted.
In other matched Portugal stumbled to a 2-1 win in Luxembourg wihile Russia beat an atrocious Northern Ireland side 2-0 in Moscow, a game that i watched as well.
Next up in Russia in Tel Aviv on Tuesday night, no one is too hopeful of a result really after the dismal way in which the performance petered out last night.
The Scots on here like Bandage may be interested to know that Biram Kayal was not in the squad, i can only presume he is out injured or something…

i would like the forum to know I placed a sizeable bet on Iceland to top a group containing Norway, Sloevenia, Albania, Cyprus and Switzerland

Didn’t Shecter sign for Swansea?

did he?
I saw him play for Kaiserlautern in a pre season game out here at the beginning of August !!
is it a loan deal do you know?

Kayal has been injured alright Michael.

Cheers, is that the same injury that he sustained against The Huns last season?

Not sure, I watched Swansea v Sunderland last weekend and he was a sub for Swansea, unless it is another Shecter but I doubt it

Loan deal according to Wiki

Cheers,
It will be interesting to see as he does under Laudrup , he is a very good player technically and would fit in well to a team like Swansea as opposed to say playing alongside someone like Jonaton Walters and other long ball mullockers at Stoke.

Nope. He got injured in the first half of the CL qualifier against Helsingborgs.

Why Mickee?

I want to go on record. I am predicting that Belgium will win Euro 2016.

As mentioned on the other thready, Sweden have gone 1-0 up against Kazakhstan and Germany still scoreless in Austria.

Scotland 0-1 down at home to Macedonia already. Levein will surely be gone if they lose.

Everyone’s “one to watch” Belgium are one down at home to Croatia.
