He told Capello not to concider him back in Feburary but he was asked to this when Johnson was out and he told them he didn`t want to leave his family at the moment(his 17 year old brother was found dead on holiday about 2 months back) to fly half way around the world for a friendly.

Is that confirmed- the extra match I mean? Do Algeria not go through on away goals if they lose 4-2 for example?
Also if teams finish dead level don’t they just scrap the result against the bottom team? Algeria drew with them so again that would put Algeria through.
I have a sizeable wager on Algeria qualifying from a long way back, I assumed only a 3 goal defeat would eliminate them?

ive watched greece twice ( tel aviv and hirakilion in crete) when they played isral and they are a big strong side who play hoofball.
otto rehagel has turned a bunch of very average players into an organised unit who are very hard to break down.
they offer zero creativity but will play it very tight at the back.
he will probably go with gekas and probably that donkey samaras up front so i wouldnt exactly expect fireworks.
given they are at home greece will play it tight, i cannot see the ukraine scoring at all…
in betting terms ,ill be abslutely piling it on under 2.5 goals in this game…

Sounds like some finish in one of the other African groups. Nigeria qualified. They had to beat Kenya and hope Tunisia lost to Mozambique a and that’s what happened. Nigeria were losing well into the second half as well but scored twice in the space of a few minutes. Mozambique’s winner came after 83 minutes.
Asked a few Nigerian taxi drivers were they going to qualify for the World Cup over the last while and none of them thought they would. Glad they qualified and not Tunisia anyway, Tunisia never do anything when they qualify.
