You’ve got to admire Bale, no interest in club football in recent years - even at a club of the stature of Madrid - but he always turns up for Wales.
Austria brought Italy to extra time in euros. I would say gutless rather than useless.
Bale puts the likes of Roy Keane and Paul Scholes to shame.
Italy are the kings of “being brought to extra time by poor teams yet turning around and winning tournaments regardless”
Game on in Cardiff
Austria back in it.
Wales missed a couple of very good chances to clinch the game there and now they could be made to pay.
Turkey back in it as well
Turkey have got a goal back against Portugal as well.
Turkey have scored guys
Turkey could be dark horses

James butchers another opening
Should have been given, he held his arm up intentionally to stop it.
@mickee321: This just doesn’t feel like a big World Cup qualifying night.
A Thursday night in late March cannot replicate the tension of a Wednesday night in mid-October or mid November, when there is a wonderful, terrifying air of finality about the whole thing. World Cup play offs are about the heavy, deathly November air. The prize is glorious summer days.
The lighter, more optimistic air of spring for these play-offs makes the whole thing feel all out of kilter. The prize is winter in the desert in a pandemic and a war. The prize feels less. And having qualifying play-offs in the same calendar year as the finals is a big no no.
The sporting eco-system has been disturbed.
His pace has got him into some superb positions but he’s been so wasteful.
The Turks could get a pelanty here, gone to VAR
While it turned into a disaster, the night we played the Danes in November 2017 was an absolutely incredible occasion.
Probably the prototype night in terms of what you are looking for.
Penalty for Turkey to equalise!
