It’s worse than that. 20 years without playing a World Cup knockout match. Eliminated in the first round in 2010 and 2014. Chiellini and Bonucci will never play a knockout World Cup finals match.

Sometimes. I’d like to think it’s when it’s warranted. Anyway we should be back to the November play offs for 2026. Though that will be a 48 team World Cup, which will be another thing to complain about.

Swedish fans always looked like they get as much craic out of it all as us.
They had one glorious team euro 2004 when for me they were the second best team in tournament. Other than that they’ve been boring to watch at tournaments but have to admire them for getting there a good bit.
