Whereas Dave Matthews goes for a silent G, āInge-brit-senā.
I imagine Matthews has a deep seated memory of the former Manchester City player Kare Ingebrigtsen and how Match Of the Day always pronounced it āInge-brit-senā.
Just an observation from the various medal ceremonies - the bronze medallist invariably looks happier than the silver medallist. Maybe the bronze is seen as a bonus for being a little way off winning while the silver almost seems a poisoned chalice of what could have been.
