The coverage of the high jump was ruined golf style there by the roar from the crowd that was heard in the immediate aftermath of the relay race. The roar had to be for something and the high jump clips were clearly recorded. When McEwen was shown to have missed, it was obvious we were about to see Kerr go clear and win it.
