Patrick Thistle v Celtic - The Glasgow Derby

Celtic can clinch the 2013/14 SPFL title with victory in tonight’s Glasgow derby at Firhill.

James Forrest and Nir Biton (both groin) remain absent as does perennially injured Derk Boerrigter.

I wonder if Neil Lennon will give 17-year old midfielder Liam Henderson his third successive league start or revert to one of the squad players who’s played a bigger role over the course of the season.

All team news, build up, in-match debate, analysis, post match discussion, celebrations and late night IRAoke in this thread please.

The offices of Ireland will be fairly empty tomorrow morning if our representative club can clinch a title tonight.

I’m too nervous to watch this in the pub so will be viewing from the comfort of home, albeit behind the couch for much of it. It will make it all the sweeter if we win this league by beating the Jags.

Liverpool fans are going to be seriously pissed off if they come into The 51 tonight. The Celtic game is being shown on ALL screens.

Proper order too. Any Irishman who supports Liverpool ahead of Celtic is a phenomenal fuckwit

So that’s Ambrose for Henderson with Mulgrew switching to midfield.

Stokesy!!!

We started very brightly. Lovely cross from Izzy after some decent footwork and very straightforward for a guy like Stokes is very competent in the air.

Johansen is a very tidy player. Since Ki left we haven’t really had someone to dictate the game from deep and just keep things moving forward. Before he joined, everything was very lateral and relied a lot on the two centre backs striding forward to inject any sort of dynamism from deep.

Roll of Honour belted out.

Faded for a while there but beginning to reassert ourselves in the last couple of minutes.

Think your right. Will be good to see how he and Biton are together next season.

Surprised Griffiths didn’t just try and take that past O’Donnell on the outside.

Commons is being really greedy tonight, his demanding of taking that free kick being a case of that.

Hendo!!!

This Glasgow derby reminds me of the Manchester equivalent last night. The away side scored early on, were utterly dominant and should have added to their tally. But Celtic got a little bit sloppy and their plucky underdog neighbours came back into it as the half progressed. However, like City last night, I expect Celtic to push on and win at their leisure in the second half.

Hendo!!!

Two clever dummies from Commons and Griffiths there to let Henderson in and a tidy finish for the bhoy.

10 in a row, 10 in a row…

Henderson!!! Who did he come on for? I was busy composing my previous message.
