King brought it back to 3 each but Pie Man won the decider.
I’ll eat my hat if Anderson wins this tournament. There is no doubting his exceptional, natural talent but his nerves get the better of him regularly and he’s not a fella i’d be looking to back.
yeah hes a great frontrunner. looking forward to barney hammering this cunt mcdine

+1
Looks like he’s in a hurry to go somewhere. McDine getting steamrolled, no harm…
McDine has levelled the match at one apiece. :o
barney is now too inconsistent to win another world championship. anderson wont be having sleepless nights when he sees who is left on his side of the draw.
McDine, what a clown, went into the double 7 and bust his score when he was looking for the single 7.
barney will struggle to bury mcdine
Decent PDC sports entertainment fare so this is, best day of the tournament by a mile so far
I don’t agree.
If you think today has been good, tomorrow will be epic…
sid,
your a massive barney fan, thats obvious. however if you think he can win the world championship in this form you are misguided. time will tell, but i rate whitlock, taylor, lewis, webster and anderson all ahead of him at this point in time.
16 180s in that Barney match. I’d fancy Taylor to cover the 4.5 180s spread in his match also. 6/5 in PPs.
van Barneveld looks like he has another couple of gears to go up. That was an impressive performance against a very decent opponent. He’s got Osborne and probably Anderson and Jenkins to beat to reach the final. With his experience I’d strongly fancy him against Anderson. That win in the team competition has helped his mental attitude and to me he looks to be playing better stuff than he has been for a while.
sid,
he played well there with a 96 average. just of the opinion that he is a shadow of his former self. he does not play on the circuit much these days and this is not good preparation.
he is fine mentally when playing an opponent he considers inferior to him. think that mentally versus the top 2 or 3 he has become weak and deep down does’nt believe he can beat them. maybe this is reason he plays so little floor tournaments these days as he is sick of being beaten. hes has class no doubt but form in top tournaments in recent years says he cant win.
We’ll see how it goes. I certainly think he’ll reach the final anyway. He has an aura that tends to intmidate players - he did it to Painter and Baxter last year when he destroyed them even when playing poorly. Do not rule out the value of his experience. I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if he thrashes Anderson.
I wouldn’t fancy that bet myself. Correct me if i’m wrong, but i believe Taylor has only hit one 180 so far in this tournament?
Class darts from Webster to take out 156 in the first leg.

It’ll be interesting to see what way they price up that contest, should we get to that stage.
I quite fancy Mark Walsh to turn over Terry Jenkins tomorrow. Walsh is 13/8 on Betfair.
Make no mistake, Webster is in a spot of bother here. This Hylton fella can play and has impressed me in this tournament. 1-1 on sets. Webster will need to bring his A-game.
