Don’t worry he won’t. His darts are too erratic. Should not get beyond Van Gerwen, though very concerned about Mighty Mike limping about the place earlier.
Also, in case any of ye are wondering. I am 99% sure the attractive young lady who has been cheering on Painter is not his daughter and he is in fact dicking her.
I saw Barney Anderson and Lewis Painter last night.
Thought Barney’s 4-0 victory flattered him somewhat - at least 2 of the sets could have gone either way. Same old story with Anderson - misses too many doubles.
Lewis did well against Painter particularly when he was pegged back to 2-2 when he had been 2-0 up. I dislike both players but Painter really annoys me. He has done fuck all in his career yet seems to think he is brilliant.
Two more good games to look forward to tonight. Hopefully Taylor beats boring Hamilton to set up a mouth watering tie with Whitlock/Barney.
This tournament so far will be known for its lack of shocks. Only 1 of the top 8 seeds failed to make it to the quarters, that being Gary Anderson who was beaten by Barney. Should make for a few potential classics from now on in.
