PDC World Grand Prix 2013

The 3rd biggest tournament in world darts starts tonight in the citywest Dublin. The double start always makes for good viewing. Tonight’s schedule below. Taylor is 2/1 to win, which is short enough considering the format. My 2 outside bets for the win are Barney 22/1 and Wright 50/1. Great to have the PDC back in Ireland again, real darts real people.:clap:

Monday October 7 (7pm)
First Round
Ronnie Baxter v Colin Lloyd
Wes Newton v Peter Wright
Paul Nicholson v Robert Thornton
Simon Whitlock v Michael Mansell
James Wade v Steve Beaton
Phil Taylor v Jamie Caven
Gary Anderson v Jelle Klaasen
Connie Finnan v Terry Jenkins

I can’t abide your darting allegiances but I acknowledge your outstanding tipping record. €5 e/w on each of the two outside shots.

Wright up now Bandage against a very dangerous Wes Newton, Bookies can’t split them but hopefully snakebite can do it.

Wes Newton is shite.

Newton takes a cagey first set.

Newton kills us with a D5. I’m sure he will bottle this yet like he always those.

Gary Anderson sets Dublin alight with a 105 average as he brushes Jelle Klaasen aside. Connie Finnan on the oche now playing Terry Jenkins.

Gary is one of my favourites.

Not as big of a favourite as Michael Van Gerwen though. When is he playing?

He enters the fray tomorrow against John Part.

Finnan takes the first set, could be a huge upset here.

Who do you fancy in the betting @Sandymount Red ?

Haven’t had a bet yet mate. Very volatile format. Will probably wait until the 1/4 finals before I make a move.

Wouldn’t be that much of an upset Connie has a very good record against Jenkins!

Looking at the betting on PP, http://www.paddypower.com/bet/darts/pdc-world-grand-prix?ev_oc_grp_ids=824995

Andy Hamilton looks a decent e/w punt @ 33/1. He usually goes well in this format.

Finnan one leg away from victory…

Connie Finnan does it:clap:He plays James Wade in the next round. Superb stuff.

Poor Terry is finished. Bully Bully.

That’s Limerick city!!

I can’t see Connie causing Wade much trouble tonight, he might be lucky and snatch a set, the same can be said for Nicholson, Taylor to win 3-1. The other two should be close enough, Whitlock to win and Anderson to sneak the other one 3-2.

Connie Finnan coming on stage right now to “The Irish Rover”
