Clane robbery.

I know a few lads in the Corporate Finance game, they went big into buy and developing sites for social housing over the past few years. I dunno the ins and outs of it but it must be lucrative.

It surely is.

Can you not move it

The SH legislation is about to expire in 2022 so a rush for planning according to a pamphlet I received from my local FG TD J. Madigan.

They’ll be competing for the same land and driving up its value and passing the bill onto the government …

Can kicked on pensions again. Kites being flown on raising self employed PRSI from 4 to 11 per cent to pay for it.

There won’t be a non means tested pension in 20 years.

I saw some headline about 40 years of tax credits needed to qualify for the state pension.

Was there not always some requirement around that to get non means tested one

It’ll become apparent soon enough the demographics (cc Mary Lou) won’t allow non means tested pension be paid.

Anybody with a private pension will be left to swivel I suspect. The fact they taxed them during GFC shows that they are perceived as an easy target

To qualify for full state pension. Proportionately less if you have fewer credits.

Leo has come out against it at least.

The lads who lie in or under bed all day on the PUP need to be told they won’t get a free ride anymore from bidniz men out early and taking risks.

Thank god for my gold-plated civil service pension. The private sector lads who made no provision for their future scratching around looking for the state to support them further. It’s like the story of the squirrel and the grasshopper.

How long are you in the civil service? I thought the shine has gone off their offerings for quite a while now

All well and good until time comes to get the money off them

There’s no provision to pay civil service pensions. Hopefully the demographics hold up to pay it from taxes.

It’ll be scary to be old in Ireland soon and renting. At least previous generation had the mortgage paid.

I’d say it was just a timing thing with the reports as the most recent annual statement had a decent upswing in it for the first time.

Yep they are still in growth by and large. Maybe timing but should have seen growth at any point over past few years
