I was in America for first time in 1995. Ordered a pizza. A lad in his seventies delivered it. I was fairly shook.

It’s awful.

My auld wan worked away and probably would still be only for Covid. Some people like to keep busy in retirement.

So did my aul lad after he retired as a nurse. Until seventy or so as an agency nurse. It was a choice and to do something.

I’m not sure any retiree aspires to work in a fast food place.

Maybe I’m an outlier on it.

Maybe not but the money would be ok wouldn’t it? Sad if people have no choice but fair play to them for advertising.

It’s a question of degree. 65 is too early to retire now. Life expectancy is so much longer than when introduced. Perhaps 70 is a better age. But equally I’m not sure a 75 year old needs to be working a fryer in BK at that age either.

I dunno really. I may be over thinking it alright.

if you are still doing 5 days a week & you are in your 50’s you have done something wrong

But are people in better health to enjoy retirement at 70?
You are getting the extra years at end of life (80 +), you aren’t really going to be able to go touring the world etc. I’d imagine those years from 60 - 70 are when you have the most potential to enjoy retirement?
